Summer trip for employees has been considering as an annual event of Marubeni Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. This is a benefit that the Board of Directors wishes to give to all employees for their contributions in the past year. This is also the moment that each employee wants to dedicate to themselves after a period of hard working period. So that when they return to their daily life, after being recharged with new and more positive energy, after relaxing moments, slow living, immersion in nature, connecting with colleagues on this vacation, they shall be revitalized, refresh their mind and  have more power and creation, in order to improve efficiency in work and life.

For 2024, Marubeni Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. has chosen Nha Trang coastal city as the destination, where members of the MHE family from Hanoi Office, Da Nang Branch and Bien Hoa Branch will have a 4-day-3-night vacation at the 5-star Vinpearl Beachfront Nha Trang Hotel - located in the center of Tran Phu Street,  next to Vincom Nha Trang, opposite to the seashore, with many coffee & bars around ... this hotel is too ideal for a vacation.

The Nha Trang beautiful coastal city welcomed us with the light sunshine, the cool breeze with the taste of the sea and memorable experiences awaiting. Nha Trang beach stretches with white sand, golden sunshine with murmuring waves – when seeing the beach, we just wanted to rush into the sea to immerse ourself in the cool blue water right away.

 

Our role is to play enthusiastically, have fun as much as we can, the company will take care all.

To increase connection among members from the three regions, 2024 MHE Ekiden was held on a large scale along the coast. The members of each team were randomly selected and mixed from employees of different regions. There are teams teams consisting of people who are on the same team for the first time, there are teams consisting of people who have never met each other or worked together before... But in the end, they are all employees of the same company, at first strange, now familiar, they still encouraged each other enthusiastically and gave the fans happy moment.

Running on the sand was not easy, all the runners felt quite tired and exhausted..

However, the faster they ran, the more sand sank their feet. Just accidentally tripping and falling would immediately give other teams a chance. Although we didn’t know which team would win, every team definitely got the award for enthusiasm.

 

The next activity was the friendly football tournament between Hanoi team and Da Nang – Bien Hoa team. The match was quite intense and had to be decided the winner by penalty shootout.

 

 Players are the engineers who daily hold a wrench to repair the machine, are drivers who hold the steering wheel, or the IT guys who familiar with the keyboard, the warehouse guys specializing in exporting goods ... But when attending the football match, they were likely to become different people, just like professional players. Commentators and spectators alike wondered that these two teams did whether to go to football or to "shoot birds" because the ball was all shot into the sky.

 

After the games, it is so refreshing to immediately dive into the sea and immersing in the waves.

All of us were looking forward to Team building to socialize and relax after many hard working days. In the process of working, employees in different departments and branches from 3 regions often have few opportunities to exchange, meet and chat directly with each other. So with the random division of teams in this activity, they had the opportunity to be closer, there was no distance among us.

Another highlight of the Team building program was apperance of the Cheering team. Every year this team has a new color with more and more members. Although the work was busy, everyone still tried to arrange to have time for practicing, if anyone couldn’t practice at the company, then they would practice at home by themselves automatically. Every time we heard the cheerleading team's music, the office seems more bustling, the working atmosphere becomes more fun and exciting. The organizing committee had received a promise from the cheerleading team to continue participating in the following years.

 

After the warm-up with free dancing, it was time for the captain to lift each others up which brought laughter to their teammates. The happiest people were probably the ones being held, it feels so yomost.

 

The "light", “simple” but attractive games helped members have more connective and happy time together. The more you play, the more fun we got. The sea breeze was getting cooler, all teams wanted more games to play.

The judges & spectators really surprised with the innocent performances of the teams: the team did not need to put on the straps but carried running pants, the team walked while counting 1,2,3 steps so that they did not fall, the team had plastic pants torn because the step was too long but it did not affect anything … all for purpose to got as many points for their team as possible. The difficulty of this game was that the ball was too light, the sea breeze could blow the whole ball before the player could shoot... Overcoming many difficulties, the teams still scored many points.

 

These were MHE hamsters running towards the destination. There was a team that was rolling back when it was blocked by another team which going in the opposite direction, struggling to get the team members to the finish.

 

In general, this game was full of drama, but every team was excited to participate to earn more achievements for their team. Playing on the beach, having happinies with fun games, playing with teammate in so cool weather ... Is there anyone who doesn't enjoy?

The next day had optional tour to visit famous places of Nha Trang such as Hon Tam mud bath complex on the island with a Vietnamese record, with a variety of mud tubs, herbal baths, infinity pools ... This experience helped the members have relax moment, refresh the body comfortably.

Along the way, members had the opportunity to see salt fields, Thai An garlic and onion gardens, solitary houses of the Raglay people and Nui Chua National Park - the only dry forest in Vietnam.

Ninh Thuan vineyard with bunches of ripe, fresh, fragrant grapes is in harvest, you can freely enjoy.

Hang Rai cave - a place with rocks in many shapes stacked on top of each other, creating countless beautiful large and small caves.

 

 And Vinh Hy Bay is so beautiful, anyone who didn’t go on this tour would regret it.

Summing up this summer trip was the Gala dinner program at 5-star Vinpearl Beachfront Nha Trang Hotel.

Also on this occasion, the names of the Best Employees in 2023 were honored & awarded with meaningful gifts from the MHE Board of Directors. Hopefully, in the coming years, more excellent employees will be named.

And the most anticipated part had come. Have fun but still need rewards, no matter how small or large, big or small. The teams played with the spirit of solidarity, fairness, "work hard - play hard", contributed to the successful of summer trip , created a fun and comfortable playground, increasde the spirit of solidarity between departments and branches. The BOD was very pleased to present awards to recognize the achievements of individuals and teams in team building activities, ekiden, and soccer tournaments. Fun was the main thing, but every team had a prize to bring home.

There were members who participated so enthusiastically and got awards in many games. Many people promised each other to play more next year to win more funds for their departments.

A special feature of this summer trip was the presence of staffs from the North - Central - South regions, so the game show was even more special. The challenges in the game of “ Tam sao that ban” (guess the name, words without listenning anything) were not easy, plus the mouth shapes, body language, and expressions from teammates from different regions made this game more thrilling. However, it was difficult to understand why most team gave answers related to " are you pregnant yet", "how many months", "pregnancy"... making the audience laugh so hard or even have a stomach ache from laughing.

 

The Gala dinner program was even more exciting with "homegrown" performances which were meticulously practiced, prepared and invested in by the artists a month ago.

The opening was a fun dance performance from Bien Hoa boys and girls mashup "Chi rieng minh ta – 60 nam cuoc doi” (Only me - 60 years of life) – truly Saigon people. To bring mystery & surprise for this performance, the dancing team locked the door of a room, not allowing anyone to have preview. Understanding the enthusiastic of this team, the choreographer also gave additional instructions for the team, so Bien Hoa team had two fiery performances.

The first time we heard two colleagues from the South duet the song "Duong ve hai thon”, their voices were so warm and sweet. This performance was also accompanied by fellow dancers, who were also our colleagues. This Gala was literally the stage for Bien Hoa team to perform.

A new element of MHE family, but getting a lot of hearts from the audience, was the performance of Koyama san from Japan with the song "Chala head Chala". To prepare for this performance, he brought the cosplay from Japan to Vietnam to dress up as the Songoku character from the famous movie "Dragon Ball" – making the performance more impressive. Not only be a singer, he was also a soccer player, also an runner for MHE Ekiden, also a team building captain... very versatile.

Singer Cao Xuan Doan with the song "Ngay em ra di" was extremely exciting. This amateur singer always chose remix music to have fun.

Although this year Da Nang team was not the host anymore, but they still brought a jubilant performance, a singer sang but there were dozens of dancers on stage to support the song "Noi vong tay lon”.

Closing the Gala were handshakes, loving hugs and photos with memorable momments during the journey to Nha Trang.

 

Thanks to our dedicated teammates for their enthusiastic support and especially thanks to the Board of Directors of the MHE for giving the best conditions for all employees in three regions to have the opportunity to reunite, play, rest and relax in Nha Trang.
