Amid the mountain ranges of the Northwest highlands, Den Thang Kindergarten – Sin Chai school, located in Den Sang Commune, Bat Xat District, Lao Cai Province, continues to echo with the innocent laughter of children, despite many shortages in learning and living conditions. Marubeni Heavy Equipment Vietnam Co., Ltd. carried out a meaningful sharing journey, bringing sincere care to children in the highland area.

During the site survey, the Company’s representatives worked with the local authorities of Den Sang Commune which is one of the poorest communes in Lao Cai Province. Most residents are from the H’Mong ethnic group. The proportion of poor and near-poor households is high. The average income per capita is very low. The poverty rate remains high, and local living conditions are still difficult, lacking both material resources and basic living facilities.

Sin Chai school was established in 2004 and consists of two single-storey buildings (one for primary school classe and one with two kindergarten classrooms), with a total of four teachers (one primary school teacher and three kindergarten teachers). Teachers work daily, staying close to their classes and school to educate children in the highlands. However, the facilities have deteriorated, especially the lack of toilet facilities, which directly affects teaching and learning conditions. Understanding these difficulties, in this support program, Marubeni Heavy Equipment Vietnam Co., Ltd. (MHE), together with all employees, focused resources on improving facilities and donating equipment and supplies, with the aim of creating a safer, cleaner, and better learning environment for students.

On January 12, 2026, the Company conducted the inspection and handover toilet facility to Den Thang Kindergarten – Sin Chai school. A clean and enclosed toilet, which may seem ordinary in lowland areas, represents a major improvement for the satellite school, providing safety, convenience, and better hygiene in students’ daily activities.
In addition to the construction item, the Company also donated essential equipment and daily necessities, including sun and rain curtains, a washing machine, a water purifier, a clothes drying cabinet, heaters, warm clothing, confectionery, and milk. Each donation came from sincere care, with the hope of helping children stay warm during the cold winter, have access to clean water for daily use, and enjoy simple joys in their disadvantaged childhood.

When knowing about the students’ nutritional conditions, the Company was deeply moved. Currently, in addition to government support, the school mobilizes each family to contribute rice and firewood so that children can have meals with sufficient quantity. Afternoon snacks are prepared by parents; however, due to extremely difficult economic conditions, the school only requires each family to contribute pumpkins. Teachers use their own money to buy sugar to cook warm pumpkin sweet soup for the children. These seemingly small things clearly reflect the silent sacrifices and dedication of teachers working in highland areas.
