A Journey Filled with Laughter, Connection, and Unforgettable Memories

The May has always been the most anticipated time of the year for the MHE family. And this summer, the journey brought all employees of Marubeni Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. from the North, Central, and South regions together in the beautiful coastal city of Ha Long for the Summer Trip from May 14th to May 17th, 2026.

We stayed at Vinpearl Resort & Spa Ha Long on Reu Island — a place blessed with gentle sunshine, refreshing sea breezes, and scenery beautiful enough to make anyone slow down and truly relax for a while.

But what made this trip unforgettable was not only the breathtaking view, it was the laughter, the friendly arms over shoulders, and the moments when everyone could truly relax after hard working time.

A Trip Full of Energy and Team Spirit

Long before departure day, the excitement had already begun. Departments and branches worked closely together to prepare every activity, every meal, and every entertainment schedule.

The organizing team even shared a very honest concern:
“Next year, please let us taste the food before choosing the menu…”

Because choosing dishes based only on photos sometimes feels like trusting fate. Fortunately, Ha Long did not disappoint anyone. From the fresh seafood meals at Hong Hanh restaurants to the delicious dishes served at the resort, every table was filled not only with food but also with endless laughter and conversations.

At the beginning, someone confidently declared:
“Let’s eat a lot on the first day because we probably won’t be able to eat much later!”

But reality proved otherwise: the more energetic the activities were, the faster everyone got hungry. And somehow, every single meal table at MHE was completely cleaned up by the end..

Team Building – Where All Distances Disappeared

If asked which part of the trip was the most exciting, many people would immediately answer:

“TEAM BUILDING!”

No fancy stage.
No complicated rules.
Just teammates and laughter were enough to turn the entire beach into a festival of joy.

The colleagues who were usually serious at work, however become differently that day.

There were tight hugs after victories. There were hilarious moments of “disastrous teamwork” that made entire teams burst into laughter. And there were moments when everyone realized that beyond work, we truly are a closely connected family.

The Warm-Up Dance – When Nobody Was “Themselves” Anymore

As soon as the music started, the “technical department dancers” appeared.

Some employees who usually worked with machinery suddenly transformed into professional idols, dancing with incredible energy and flexibility.

Others looked muscular and powerful, but their dance moves resembled… a pregnant woman doing weightlifting exercises, making the audience laugh uncontrollably. Those ordinary and genuine moments became some of the most memorable memories of the trip.

“The Wheel of Unity” – When Team Spirit Beat Every Strategy

In the next game, teams had to work together to move wheels and balls to the finish line.

The desire to win became so intense that some teams secretly grabbed extra balls before the referees could notice. The referees chased after them demanding the balls back, while the players laughed so hard they could barely stand.

Play hard.
Laugh harder.
That was truly the spirit of the entire journey.

“Bringing Water Home” – Exhausting but Incredibly Fun

A beach trip without getting wet is not a real beach trip.

Teams had to transfer seawater into containers using water channels. It sounded simple — until the MC suddenly announced that everyone had to scoop water using only their hands.

The entire beach exploded with excitement.

Some people bent down until they felt dizzy.
Some ran while spilling water everywhere.
Others were soaked from head to toe but never stopped laughing.

No one wanted to give up because teammates were always cheering behind them.

“Rising Tide, Claiming the Jewel” – A Dramatic Comeback

The final game became a true battle of teamwork and determination.

One participant even used his tongue to stop water from leaking out just to help his team keep their score. It sounded ridiculous, but that “all-in spirit” was exactly what created the special atmosphere of MHE.

And when the winning team was announced, the entire beach erupted with excitement.

 

The Legendary Football Match: Skill Matters Less Than Good Luck

On the second afternoon, a friendly football match took place between the Bien Hoa team and the Hanoi–Da Nang united team on the resort’s sandy field.

Although most players had “one-pack abs,” they still ran incredibly well. Meanwhile, the united team had to substitute players every three minutes because they were simply out of breath.

Surprisingly, the united team won by three goals.

But the truth behind the victory was quite funny:

• 1 goal was genuinely scored by the team.
• The other 2 came from the opposing goalkeeper’s “enthusiastic support.”

The conclusion of this year’s season:
“Being strong doesn’t guarantee victory. Sometimes, luck at the right moment matters more.”

 

Ha Long – Beautiful in the Most Charming Way

This year’s trip was blessed with perfect weather conditions.

While Hanoi was experiencing intense heat, Ha Long surprised everyone with pleasant sunshine during the day and cool sea breezes in the evening.

Coincidentally, singer Lệ Quyên also performed at the resort during the group’s stay.

Many employees quickly took the chance to “take photos with a celebrity” in a very funny style:
The singer stood far away in the background… while they occupied half of the photo frame in the front. As long as their faces appeared in the same picture with the singer, it officially counted as a celebrity photo.

Different Journeys, Same Happiness

The next day, everyone freely chose their own adventures.

Some visited Ha Long Bay to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and fresh ocean air.

Some explored Sun World Ha Long with its exciting rides and spectacular cable car routes.

Others relaxed at Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh, enjoying dozens of hot spring pools and an unforgettable buffet.

Each journey created unique memories, but everyone returned with the same satisfaction — and plenty of amazing photos

Gala Dinner – A Night When Emotions Truly Soared

After days of excitement and adventure, the Gala Dinner became the moment when all emotions came together.

This year’s Gala was especially meaningful as the MHE family officially welcomed the new General Director, Mr. Katsuhiro Kurosaki. He shared a heartfelt message: “To bring happiness to customers, every MHE member must first feel happy working at MHE.”

Right after that, he surprised the entire hall by singing the Vietnamese song “Ánh Nắng Của Anh.” Even though he had only recently arrived in Vietnam and was still learning Vietnamese, his sincere effort deeply moved everyone and received huge applause.

During the Gala, the company’s leadership also honored five Outstanding Employees of 2025 — individuals who made remarkable contributions throughout the year.

This recognition was not only for outstanding individuals but also a sincere thank-you to every department, branch, and team member who continuously contributed to the growth of MHE.

The most anticipated moment of the evening was the announcement of the Team Building results. This season witnessed many surprising comebacks, proving that with persistence and teamwork, every team always has a chance to win.

Awards were also presented to the two football teams who brought the audience a match that was “lucky sometime better than skillful.”

When Everyday Colleagues Became Stage Stars

If everyone gave their all on the beach during the day, then the Gala stage exploded with energy at night through carefully prepared performances.

Loud laughter and chilled beers fueled the “unexpected rappers” participating in the Rap IQ game show — a lively opening performance that set the perfect mood for the Gala Dinner

The opening dance performance “Wonderful Summer” by the Hanoi Aerobic Team immediately brought youthful and explosive energy to the stage.

The “Fast Car & Super Stars” team from Bien Hoa continued heating up the atmosphere with unstoppable enthusiasm

Especially impressive was Yanagawa Makoto, a Japanese colleague who had only recently arrived in Vietnam but confidently dominated the stage. When he felt the audience was not excited enough, he jumped down from the stage and pulled everyone into the performance with him.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang’s performance “Người Vùng Cao Là Thế” was also carefully invested in, from costumes to props, earning tremendous applause..

Together with the fiery performances from Nguyen Thanh Nhan and Cao Xuan Doan, the Gala stage nearly exploded with excitement.

 

Most notably, the appearance of the DJ transformed the Gala into a true mini concert. There were no more boundaries between branches. No more everyday shyness. Only music, cheering, and countless smiles remained

Someone even said:
“This is the best Gala night I’ve experienced in nearly 20 years working at the company.”

And interestingly enough… that person was still so excited the next morning that he immediately texted the organizing team to share his feelings again.

A special and meaningful highlight of this year’s Summer Trip was the opportunity for employees from the Da Nang and Bien Hoa branches to visit MHE’s Head Office in Hanoi. For many branch employees, this was their first chance to experience the company’s headquarters firsthand, gaining a deeper understanding of MHE’s working environment and corporate culture.

In addition, the Da Nang and Bien Hoa teams enjoyed an extra day staying in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where they explored the capital’s unique culture, history, and cuisine. This memorable experience made the Summer Trip even more meaningful and complete

Summer Trip 2026 – The Most Memorable Thing Was Not the Destination, But the People We Shared It With

A successful trip is not only about beautiful locations, delicious food, or exciting programs.

The most important thing is that everyone enjoyed with openness, enthusiasm, and connection.

It was the genuine laughter, the unforgettable moments, and the companionship of every single member that made Summer Trip 2026 truly special.

A journey to relax.
